About para
para-garden tends worlds — concrete games, experiences, and creative works. Things people actually encounter and inhabit.
Where rhi is infrastructure and exo is places/platforms, para is the things that grow in them.
Philosophy
A garden is never finished. You tend it — you plant things, see what grows, pull weeds, make space. The things in it are alive in the sense that they change, respond, surprise you.
para projects are like that:
- Tended, not finished. Nothing ships as a final product. Things grow, change, get reworked.
- Constrained, not limited. Intentional boundaries create focus. A text game doesn't need graphics — it needs good writing and honest mechanics.
- Inhabited, not consumed. These are things you spend time in, not things you scroll past.
Projects
| Project | Description |
|---|---|
| existence | Text-based HTML5 game — power anti-fantasy with constrained agency |
| legacy | Worldbuilding project — what humanity left behind |
| divergence | Worldbuilding project — what happens when the floor gets built |
| solarium | Self-contained works across any medium |
Relationship to rhi and exo
Three organizations, three concerns:
- rhi — infrastructure. The substrate: tooling, libraries, protocols.
- exo — places. Biomes and platforms where things can happen.
- para — things. Concrete works that people encounter.
para projects may use rhi infrastructure and live in exo places, but they don't depend on either. They're the fruit, not the tree.
